I started at Fencross in 2015, in the time that I have been with them I have learned various skills and undertaken many roles which has giving me valuable railway experience and knowledge. This included trackmen, lookout and COSS duties, Fencross covered the cost of all the training I required in order for me to progress in my rail career. After 1 year and a half, I finished my training and built up my knowledge even more by doing various COSS duties, I have now been offered a permanent position at Network Rail where I can progress even further.
Back in 2007 I started my Railway Career and through bad choices I decided to work for an awful company, but took this as the Norm. I had worked alongside Fencross Contractors and had been in competition with their workers. One thing lead to another and things fell into place so that I would Join Fencross. I progressed like I had never experienced. I had the ability to ask for help when needed, and had doors opened up that I never would have if I had gone at things alone. I now sit at my desk as a Managing director for a rail Company knowing that this would never have been possible without the help and experience that Fencross Contractors gave me.
